THE WIND MAP
Une source invisible, d’énergie antique nous entoure -énergie qui a permis les premières explorations du monde et qui pourrait être une clé pour l’avenir. Cette carte vous montre le tracé délicat du vent coulant sur les US. Ce projet est à l’initiative de hint.fm, Fernanda Viégas et Martin Wattenberg ont pour habitude de retranscrire toute sorte de données scientifique pour qu’elles soient graphiquement visible. On pourrait imaginer que Van Gogh n’était pas loin de cette interprétation formelle du vent.
An invisible, ancient source of energy surrounds us—energy that powered the first explorations of the world, and that may be a key to the future. This map shows you the delicate tracery of wind flowing over the US. This project is the initiative of hint.fm, Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg use to retranscribe any scientific kind of data so that they are graphically visible. We could imagine that Van Gogh was not far from this formal interpretation of the wind.

L’album de Clock Opera, “Way to Forget” est annoncé pour le 23 Avril sur le label Moshi Moshi. Hier Le groupe a déjà posté une video nous permettant d’écouter un extrait des 10 titres présent sur le disque. Pour ce qui est du design de pochette de l’album, Richard Robinson reste dans le prolongement des précédents EP avec une magnifique composition photographique. Je vous laisse également découvrir la finalité du projet soundcloud, utilisant différents sons soumis par les fans et utilisateurs. Un résultat surprenant !
The Clock Opera album, “Way to Forget” is announced by April 23rd on the label Moshi Moshi. Yesterday The band has already posted a video allowing us to listen the 10 tracks present on the record. As for the design of the album cover, Richard Robinson stays in the continuation of the previous EP with a magnificent photographic composition. I also let you discover the ending of the soundcloud’s project , constructed with various sounds submitted by fan and users. A surprising result !

Amélie Charroin et Marie Colin-Madan créées Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre en
janvier 2010. S’entourant des meilleures maisons de soierie françaises de Lyon, elles proposent des collections de carrés de soie imprimés, associant différentes techniques manuelles, dessin, peinture, photomontage. Elles construisent des images complexes nourries de surréalisme où se mêlent narration et bases géométriques. Chaque carré devient alors un tableau à arborer.
Amélie Charroin and Marie Colin-Madan created Milleneufcentquatrevingtquatre in January, 2010. Surrounding themself with the best French silk manufacturers of Lyon, they propose collections of printed silk squares, using various manual techniques, drawing, painting, photomontage. They create composite images, surrounded by surealism, where narration and geometric bases have been combinated. Each square of silk is a masterpiece to wear.
